With the aim of correlating the efficiency of the thermoresistance test (fast and slow) of the frozen sperm in the bovine species with the fertility 64 were used ejaculated of 39 bulls of the race Nelore with age between 2 and 10 years belonging to a Headquarter of Artificial Insemination. After the crops the sperm samples were appraised macro and microscopical as for the volume, aspect, turbine, total motility, energy, concentration and spermatic pathology.Later the ejaculated were frozen in diluent (TRIS) to a height of 3 cm of the liquid nitrogen (-140º C) in a freezing tank for 15 minutes. For analysis of the frozen departures the parameters of subjective total motility, energy, computerized analysis of the spermatic movement (HTMA – IVOS 10) were used. Fluorescence test was also used to evaluate the integrity of the membrane post-defrosting after the proofs fast (46°C/30’) and slow (38°C/5h) of thermoresistance. The total motility values after the thermoresistance proofs they were subdivided into 4 categories denominated of adaptation (0=0% of motility, 1= 0- 20% of motility, 2= 20-40% of motility and 3= >40% of motility). The fertility test was accomplished through the artificial insemination of 3161 females of the race Nelore, with age between 2 and 16 years in a same property and the fertility was appraised through the pregnancy index after the first artificial insemination. In order to verify the association between the occurrences of interest and the fertility it was used the proof of Qui-square, with the calculation of statistics X2 and P. The statistics were considered significant when p<0,05 and in the cases which 0,05<p<0,10 the tendency was referred to significance, where p is the probability of erroneously concluding for the significance. The results showed that there were no significant differences among the categories of total...
