The work of Orlanda Amaryllis collected in three short stories books Cais -do-Sodre te Salamansa, 1975 Ilheu dos Passaros, 1982 and A Casa dos Mastros, 1989 do not add up all her narratives. It is necessary to search in anthologies and literary magazines to record her work. An example is the tale Alegoria, a handwritten version of the short story Requiem, published in 1982, in Ilheu dos Passaros. We will work in this article a comparison between the handwritten version, published in The Handwriting Anthology, 1975, and the one published in book form, in order to discuss the situation of literary writing after post-independence proposed by her in that short story.en
