dc.description.abstractA paisagem é um conceito chave na Geografia Cultural, conceito esse que se transformou desde finais do século XIX até a significativa renovação desse campo teórico a partir dos anos 70. Tanto no que se refere à morfologia da paisagem descrita por Sauer, quanto à ideia de paisagem e formação social e seus aspectos simbólicos na visão de Denis Cosgrove, esse conceito tornou-se abrangente e dialógico, envolvendo diferentes áreas do conhecimento no contexto europeu-ocidental a partir do Renascimento. Entretanto, recorremos aqui à contribuição de Yi-Fu Tuan e aos estudos de Augustin Berque para compreender o conceito de paisagem no Oriente (China), onde a aproximação entre o homem e o meio, o mundo físico e o sensível não estão dissociados. Nessa pesquisa, a paisagem seguirá a vertente cultural com desdobramento na abordagem oriental para melhor aproximação com o fengshui (vento e água), elementos de uma tradição milenar chinesa, que propõe o ordenamento do espaço, orientando para a melhor localização de construções humanas destinadas à moradia, ao trabalho e ao lazer. Concebido na China antiga, o fengshui possui elementos da filosofia Taoísta, da numerologia, da astrologia e faz uso dos fundamentos geomorfológicos para melhor compreensão das formas de relevo e de cursos d’água, associados às manifestações do espírito humano, sentimentos e sistema de crenças. dc.description.abstractLandscape is a key concept in Cultural Geography, a concept that is transformed from the end of the 19th century until the significant renewal of this theoretical field from the 1970s onwards. Both in terms of the morphology of the landscape described by Sauer, as well as the idea of landscape and social formation and its symbolic aspects in the view of Denis Cosgrove, this concept became comprehensive and dialogic, involving different areas of knowledge in the European- western context from the Renaissance onwards. However, we resort here to the contribution of Yi-Fu Tuan and the studies of Augustin Berque to understand the concept of landscape in the East (China), where the approximation between man and the environment, the physical and the sensitive worlds are not dissociated. In this research, the landscape will follow the cultural aspect with an oriental approach to better approach fengshui (wind and water), elements of an ancient Chinese tradition, which proposes the ordering of space, guiding to the best location of human constructions destined to the housing, work and leisure. Conceived in ancient China, fengshui has elements of Taoist philosophy, numerology, astrology and makes use of geomorphological foundations for a better understanding of landforms and waterways, associated with manifestations of the human spirit, feelings and belief system. Installation in an appropriate location allows for a safe, prosperous life in harmony with the environment.en
