Resumo

Every concept carries a historicity, this is the case of the concepts of conservatism and liberalism, known as motion concept because they have a wide range of meanings accompanying context. By observing the ideals of intellectual Eugenio Gudin, known as reference of Brazilian liberalism in the twentieth century, as well as conservative, mainly after advocating military intervention in 1964, the article in question sought to understand the relationship between both concepts: conservatism and liberalism, based on Foucault's reflections, through the elaboration of the concept of biopolitics, which proposes an analysis that emphasized the incompatibility of the two concepts in contemporary from the recoding of concepts such as social justice, equality and State.
