A arquitetura e a arte sempre andaram lado a lado, ambas são formas de criar, de impactar e de gerar identificação com os seres humanos. As pinturas nas paredes estão presentes no mundo desde os primórdios da humanidade, quando ainda não havia uma forma de comunicação escrita já existia a arte. Transformar espaços e proporcionar diferentes experiências para os usuários é algo que a arte muralista, por sua grande escala e utilização da arquitetura pré-existente como suporte, é possível de proporcionar. Pesquisas recentes, matérias em jornais, blogs e revistas falam do crescente uso dos murais e de sua importância social, cultural e qualificadora. Nesse contexto, o objetivo deste TFG é verificar o impacto da arte muralista na transformação dos espaços. Através da leitura de bibliografia, análise de estudos de caso, conversas com profissionais da área (artistas muralistas) e da realização de uma intervenção artística (mural) dentro do próprio campus universitário da UNESP de Bauru. Sendo um projeto realizado de fato, como uma forma de demonstrar o tema estudado.

Architecture and art have always gone hand in hand, as both are forms of creation that impact and foster identification among human beings. Wall paintings have been present in the world since the beginning of humanity long before the existence of written communication, art already played a role in expressing ideas and emotions. Transforming spaces and providing unique experiences for users is one of the key potentials of mural art. Its large scale and use of pre-existing architectural structures as a canvas allow it to create powerful visual and spatial interventions. Recent research, as well as articles in newspapers, blogs, and journals, highlight the growing significance of murals and their social, cultural, and aesthetic contributions. Within this context, the objective of this TFG (Final Graduation Project) is to examine the impact of mural art on the transformation of spaces. This will be achieved through a combination of bibliographic research, analysis of case studies, interviews with professionals in the field (mural artists), and the execution of an artistic intervention—a mural—on the university campus of UNESP in Bauru. The completion of this practical project will serve as a tangible demonstration of the concepts studied.
