Construção e aplicação de tesauros funcionais na arquivologia: uma proposta teórica e metodológica a partir do modelo records continuum

Abstract

A necessidade de aprimoramento das práticas, instrumento e processos que envolvem o tratamento da informação arquivística auxilia nas investigações que contribuam para melhores formas de organização, representação e acesso à informação. Essa pesquisa investigou o modelo australiano Records Continuum, sob a perspectiva de aprofundar estudos sobre os tesauros funcionais de acordo com a literatura brasileira e internacional. A partir dessa análise é possível compreender como a Arquivologia tem se posicionado em relação aos instrumentos que colaboram com melhores formas de controle e padronização terminológica. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa aborda se a fragmentação do ciclo vital dos documentos impede a aplicação efetiva de um tesauro funcional que interopere com os tesauros temáticos. Por essa razão, percorreu-se historicamente pelos períodos da Arquivologia- Arquivologia Clássica, Moderna e Pós Moderna para compreender em que momento esse instrumento começa a ser discutido pela área. O objetivo geral propõe-se a apresentar subsídios teórico-metodológicos que ajudem no desenvolvimento dos tesauros funcionais na Arquivologia, por meio de uma diretriz que colabore para o desenvolvimento de tesauro funcional que possa se adequar às necessidades de integração de procedimentos de controle de vocabulário em todo o fluxo de representação e recuperação da documentação arquivística. Após a pesquisa bibliográfica, aplicou-se a metodologia de análise de conteúdo nos artigos recuperados nas bases de dados utilizadas nessa pesquisa, nomeadamente: Base de Dados em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI), Base de Dados do Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa Ciência da Informação (BENANCIB), Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA), Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA), anais de eventos: Congresso Nacional de Arquivologia (CNA), International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO Brasil) entre outras publicações. Esse corpus documental foi selecionado devido à sua solidez no campo da Ciência da Informação, por serem usualmente utilizadas nas pesquisas da área e por contribuírem para a consolidação de pesquisas da área de Ciência da Informação e da Arquivologia. Como resultados nota-se que os tesauros funcionais colaboram com a Arquivologia, pois oferecem melhores estratégias de tratamento informacional a partir das instrumentalidades advindas do controle e da padronização terminológica, fatores que impactam nos processos de organização, representação e acesso a informação.

The need to improve the practices, instruments and processes that involve the treatment of archival information helps in investigations that contribute to better forms of organization, representation and access to information. This research investigated the Australian model Records Continuum, from the perspective of deepening studies on functional thesaurus according to Brazilian and international literature. From this analysis, it is possible to understand how Archivology has positioned itself in relation to the instruments that collaborate with better forms of control and terminological standardization. In this sense, the research addresses whether the fragmentation of the life cycle of documents prevents the effective application of a functional thesaurus that interoperates with thematic thesaurus. For this reason, it has historically gone through the periods of Archivology - Classical, Modern and Post Modern Archivology to understand when this instrument begins to be discussed by the area. The general objective proposes to present theoretical and methodological subsidies that help in the development of functional thesaurus in Archivology, through a guideline that collaborates for the development of functional thesaurus that can adapt to the needs of integrating vocabulary control procedures in the entire flow of representation and retrieval of archival documentation. After the bibliographic research, the content analysis methodology was applied to the articles retrieved from the databases used in this research, namely: Database in Information Science (BRAPCI), Database of the National Information Science Research Meeting ( BENANCIB), Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA), Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA), annals of events: National Congress of Archivology (CNA), International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO Brasil) among other publications. This documentary corpus was selected due to its solidity in the field of Information Science, as they are usually used in research in the area and for contributing to the consolidation of research in the area of Information Science and Archivology. As a result, it is noted that the functional thesauri collaborate with Archivology, as they offer better informational treatment strategies based on the instrumentalities arising from the control and terminological standardization, factors that impact on the processes of organization, representation and access to information.
