O presente trabalho possui como objeto de investigação o arquivo “Miroel Silveira” que, no ano de 2018, passou por um processo de transferência custodial entre à biblioteca da Escola de Comunicação e Artes (ECA) na UNIVERSIDADE DE SÃO PAULO (USP) para o Arquivo Público do Estado de São Paulo (APESP). Os objetivos da pesquisa são entender como se deu esse processo de transferência, o que está guardado dentro do arquivo e apresentar as diferenças e semelhanças de tratamento do arquivo entre as duas instituições. Para isso, foram investigadas as informações sobre o arquivo através do contato com as instituições públicas envolvidas no processo, além de análise de publicações feitas a partir do grupo temático, sobre o arquivo, “Censura em Cena”. Com os resultados, aprende-se que o Arquivo conta com roteiros de peças teatrais que foram censuradas na Era Vargas (1930-1945) até a ditadura militar (1964-1985), portanto, considerados documentos históricos do país. Além disso, o processo de transferência ocorreu em formato de convênio entre as bibliotecas da ECA e o APESP.

The present work has as its object of investigation the “Miroel Silveira” archive, which, in 2018, underwent a process of custodial transfer between the library of the School of Communication and Arts (ECA) at the UNIVERSIDADE DE SÃO PAULO (USP) to the Public Archive of the State of São Paulo (APESP). The objectives of the research are to understand how this transfer process took place, what is stored within the archive and to present the differences and similarities in the treatment of the archive between the two institutions. To this end, information about the archive was investigated through contact with the public institutions involved in the process, in addition to analyzing publications made from the thematic group, about the archive, “Censura em Cena”. From the results, we learn that the Archive has scripts for plays that were censored during the Vargas Era (1930-1945) and during the military dictatorship (1964-1985), therefore considered historical documents of the country. And its transfer process took place in the format of an agreement between the ECA libraries and APESP.
