dc.description.abstractIt's observed an increasing scientific interest on research about the use of Information and Communication Technology-ICT in the universe of scholar Physical Education. Thus, this original article has as an objective verify the use of it, specifically regarding the use of computers by the teachers of the public education of the city of Fortaleza-CE. Thirty two teachers participated in the study. The data were collected through a semi structured questionnaire compounded for mixed questions about the use of ICT in the physical education classes. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and expressed by graphics and charts. Also was realized a analysis of the open questions like a way of understanding the thoughts of the research group about the use of computers in the physical education classes. It was discovered that most of the teachers rarely uses the computer in their classes and, even those who use, made it with low frequency over the school year. It was verified that the principal reasons would be the lack of teachers in the laboratories and suitable physical structure to enable the application of the activities. These facts indicate, for the researched reality, the need of interventions aimed at continuing education and a greater attention about the infrastructure and support to these teachers.en
