Transdisciplinaridade em A Fazenda dos Animais, de George Orwell: diálogos entre literatura, política e direito

Abstract

Este trabalho traz como proposta a investigação das relações transdisciplinares entre literatura, política, direito e demais áreas correlatas, a partir da perspectiva ficcional oferecida por George Orwell em seu livro A Fazenda dos Animais. A narrativa, publicada pela primeira vez em 1945, na Inglaterra, traça uma série de críticas aos regimes totalitários, em especial ao executado por Josef Stálin (1878-1953) na União Soviética. No texto, características relevantes do totalitarismo, como o processo de usurpação do poder e a expressiva violação a direitos fundamentais, são literariamente explorados por Orwell. Diante desse cenário, toma-se como ponto de partida para o presente estudo as relações estabelecidas entre as áreas do conhecimento citadas, trabalhando-as como fonte e método da compreensão pluralista da legalidade e dos fatos sociais dentro da obra, de modo a revelar as possíveis articulações entre Literatura, Justiça e Sociedade. Assim, a realização desta pesquisa corresponde a um interesse geral, sendo especialmente voltada àqueles que pretendem descortinar seus horizontes enquanto operadores sociais abertos a encontrar soluções humanas para o problema universal do conflito. A metodologia aplicada neste trabalho preconiza estudos teóricos de documentos e textos pertencentes a diferentes disciplinas, incluindo filosofia, sociologia e história. Os resultados obtidos corroboram a hipótese inicial de que a obra de Orwell, ao tratar literariamente sobre assuntos de ordem política, jurídica e social, estabelece ligação estreita com tais áreas, mostrando-se uma peça relevante para a construção de um debate político participativo e de um ordenamento jurídico mais articulado aos valores inerentes à humanização do conflito.

This work proposes an investigation of transdisciplinary relations between literature, politics, law and other related areas, from the fictional perspective offered by George Orwell in his book Animal Farm. The allegory, first published in 1945, in England, draws serious criticisms of totalitarian regimes, especially that one carried out by Josef Stálin (1878-1953), in the Soviet Union. In the text, relevant features of the totalitarianism, such as the process of usurpation of power and the expressive violation of fundamental rights, are literarily explored by Orwell. In view of this scenario, the relations established between the aforementioned areas of knowledge are taken as a starting point for this study, working as a source and method of pluralist understanding of legality and social facts within the work, in order to reveal the possible articulations between Literature, Justice and Society. Thus, the realization of this research corresponds to a general interest, being especially aimed at those who intend to unveil their horizons as social operators open to finding human solutions to the universal problem of conflict. The methodology applied in this work recommends theoretical studies of documents and texts belonging to different disciplines, including philosophy, sociology and history. The results obtained corroborate the initial hypothesis that Orwell's work, when dealing literarily about political, legal and social issues, establishes a close connection with all these areas, proving to be a relevant piece for the construction of a participatory political discussion and a legal system more articulated to the values inherent to the humanization of the conflict.
