Uso pedagógico do espaço escolar nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental: uma revisão da literatura acadêmico-educacional brasileira

Abstract

O presente estudo discute aspectos relativos à cultura material da escola e à influência do espaço escolar na aprendizagem dos alunos dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Busca-se compreender a relevância da relação que a cultura material da escola estabelece com o processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O espaço escolar e sua organização são fundamentais para o desenvolvimento das práticas pedagógicas, não sendo possível sua negligência ou neutralidade, pois este pode agregar possibilidades ou limites significativos. Trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa baseada na revisão da literatura acadêmica brasileira. Os resultados sugerem que, apesar do crescente interesse pela cultura material da escola, a maioria dos artigos que abordam a influência da organização na aprendizagem se concentra na educação infantil. Além disso, a pesquisa permite compreender como o espaço influencia a aprendizagem e como concepções que utilizam o espaço com intencionalidade produzem melhores resultados para os alunos.

The present study discusses aspects related to the material culture of the school and the influence of the school space on the learning of students in the early years of Elementary Education. It seeks to understand the relevance of the relationship that the material culture of the school establishes with the teaching-learning process. The school space and its organization are fundamental for the development of pedagogical practices, and it is not possible to neglect or remain neutral about it, as it can add significant possibilities or limits. This is a qualitative investigation based on a review of Brazilian academic literature. The results suggest that, despite the growing interest in the material culture of the school, most articles addressing the influence of organization on learning focus on early childhood education. Furthermore, the research allows us to understand how space influences learning and how conceptions that use space intentionally produce better results for students.
