Resumo
Community colleges, granting two-year associate degrees and certificates, are mostly a U.S. higher education invention, while U.S. technical colleges, which also grant bachelor’s degrees, are closer in form and mission to applied science institutions in Europe and elsewhere. Other countries have created somewhat analogous structures like the Fatecs in Brazil, which usually offer three-year degree programs.
