O Itinerário Poético de Emílio Moura: uma viagem por nácar, rosa e nuvem

Abstract

A obra poética do mineiro Emílio Moura (1902-1971), localizada à margem da crítica canônica modernista, é conhecida, sobremaneira, pela repetição de meditações interrogativas causadas por um eu lírico que reflete obsessivamente sobre sua condição existencial. Além disso, por trás dessa destacada característica há um trabalho primoroso com a construção da imagem poética, o que faz com que revisemos o lugar desse poeta no cânone literário. Partindo das imagens do poema “Três caminhos” e da análise das principais imagens trabalhadas no Itinerário Poético, obra completa de Moura, propomos traçar três caminhos distintos enveredados em sua poética: o da melancolia, o da idealização e o da memória. Estes três aspectos são uma prévia interpretação de imagens que são subjetivadas por um processo de construção abstrato. Os temas do Itinerário não são dissociados, já que há um encadeamento imagético que faz com que tudo esteja interligado. As principais imagens recorrentes, como noite, sombras, musa, rosa, espelho, nuvem e menino, estão dissolvidas, a nosso ver, nos três eixos principais. Estes eixos interpenetram-se e relacionam-se diretamente entre si, formando uma espécie de diálogo circular entre os poemas. A partir da noção de que imagem é analogia, inferimos, por exemplo, que a noite pode representar a morte; a rosa, o amor; as sombras, a ausência; o menino, a memória. Essa construção realiza-se por meio de uma linguagem evocativa que sugere a presentificação do ausente, já que a imagem, ao fundir o signo à “coisa”, tem o poder de criar novos mundos. Ao analisar a imagem no Itinerário Poético, incluímos uma gama de significações à poética de Emílio Moura, portanto, mais do que uma análise temática, trouxemos à tona a importância da inserção da poética emiliana em um contexto mais amplo da literatura moderna/modernista brasileira.

The poetic of Emílio Moura (1902-1971), into the other side of the canonical modernist criticism, is greatly known by repeating interrogative meditations caused by a self-lyric that reflects obsessively about own existential condition. Besides, behind this prominent feature there is a work with the construction of the poetic image, which cause us to review the autor’s place in the literary canon. We propose to outline three different paths highlighted in the poetry of Emilio Moura, starting from the images of the poem “Três caminhos” and the analysis of the main images worked on the Itinerário Poético: the melancholy, the idealization and the memory. These three aspects are a prior interpretation of images that are abstracts by a construction process. There is great difficulty in dissociating the themes of the Itinerário, not that there are many thematic variations, but there is an imagistic thread that makes everything is interconnected. The main recurring images, such as night, shadows, muse, rose, mirror, cloud and boy, are dissolved, in our view, the three main axes. These axes interpenetrating up and relate directly with each other, forming a kind of circular dialogue between poems. From the notion that image is analogy and infer, for example, that the night can represent the death; the rose with the love; the shadows with the absence; the boy with the memory. This construction is carried out through an evocative language that suggests the “presentification” the absent, since the image mixed up the sign with the "thing" has the power making new worlds. By analyzing the image on Itinerário Poético, we include a range of meanings to the poetics of Emílio Moura therefore more than a thematic analysis and we bring to light the importance of inclusion of emilian poetic in a broader context of modern/modernist Brazilian literature.
