Resumo
Este trabalho foi desenvolvido a fim de propor uma abordagem do romance brasileiro contemporâneo As visitas que hoje estamos (2012), do autor Antonio Geraldo Figueiredo Ferreira. Nesta abordagem, privilegia-se aspectos do narrador e da focalização, no que diz respeito à forma e à estrutura do romance, e a leitura sob o eixo temático das relações familiares conflitivas e disfuncionais, considerando a complexidade e o caráter heterogêneo, tanto no sentido da forma quanto no sentido dos temas, do romance objeto de estudo. A metodologia de pesquisa se dá pela pesquisa e estudo de obras teóricas selecionadas que versam narrador e o foco narrativo, para que, a partir do contato com estes textos, se estabeleçam relações com o romance objeto de estudo. No que diz respeito à abordagem do romance, articula-se uma leitura imanentista do texto (ou seja, faz-se, primeiramente, uma leitura aprofundada do romance para, posteriormente, observar as relações extratextuais possíveis, estabelecendo, com elas, reflexão e análise crítica) com a análise a partir de um eixo temático selecionado. Este procedimento de leitura e análise da obra justifica-se, como mencionado, em sua complexidade formal e temática, pois trata-se de um romance heterogêneo, constituído por fragmentos híbridos e por diversos temas que se desenvolvem nestes fragmentos. Ambas as instâncias de abordagem são férteis dado a forma fragmentária híbrida da obra e sua complexidade temática.
This work was developed in order to propose an approach to the contemporary Brazilian novel As visitas que hoje estamos (2012), by the author Antonio Geraldo Figueiredo Ferreira. In this approach, aspects of the narrator and focus are privileged, with regard to the form and structure of the novel, and the reading under the thematic axis of conflicting and dysfunctional family relationships, considering the complexity and heterogeneous character, both in the sense of in the form and in the sense of the themes, of the novel object of study. The research methodology is carried out through the research and study of selected theoretical works that deal with the narrator and the narrative focus, so that, from the contact with these texts, relations with the novel object of study are established. With regard to the approach to the novel, an immanentist reading of the text is articulated (i.e., firstly, an in-depth reading of the novel is carried out to, subsequently, observe the possible extratextual relations, establishing, with them, reflection and analysis criticism) with the analysis from a selected thematic axis. This procedure of reading and analyzing the work is justified, as mentioned, in its formal and thematic complexity, since it is a heterogeneous novel, constituted by hybrid fragments and by several themes that develop in these fragments. Both instances of approach are fertile given the hybrid fragmentary form of the work and its thematic complexity.
