dc.description.abstractOs Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) são parte de uma agenda mundial na busca por sustentabilidade em diversos setores da sociedade. O ODS 2.4, especificamente, trata da agricultura e da segurança alimentar, mas não possui métrica estabelecida em sua análise. Sem dados viáveis para analisar o desempenho dos países nesse contexto, não se pode entender o cenário em que se insere e as tomadas de decisão, além de políticas públicas, perdem precisão. Com base nisso, esse trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a diversidade da produção agrícola dos municípios do estado de São Paulo nos anos de 1999, 2009 e 2019, de forma a verificar se entre esses anos houve especialização ou diversificação da produção agrícola. Portanto, esse trabalho se propõe a estabelecer uma potencial métrica para o ODS 2.4. Para fundamentar a pesquisa, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura sobre a história da agricultura, o surgimento do desenvolvimento rural sustentável como modelo e a diversificação agrícola como estratégia. Também foi realizada uma revisão sistemática de literatura sobre a diversificação agrícola, construindo seu estado de arte como parte dos resultados. Percebe-se grande potencial na diversificação agrícola, uma vez que há benefícios no longo prazo que superam a análise unidimensional econômico-financeira. Por fim, aplicou-se o Índice de Diversidade de Simpson em dados extraídos da Pesquisa Agrícola Municipal do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (PAM/IBGE). A partir dos resultados de SID’, mapas foram construídos por meio do software QGIS. Identificou-se que, entre 1999 e 2009, houve significativa especialização da produção agrícola. Entre 2009 e 2019 também houve especialização, mas não de forma significativa. A partir disso, percebe-se que existe uma tendência geral à especialização e isso afasta o estado de São Paulo do que se tem como objetivo no ODS 2.4.pt
dc.description.abstractSustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are part of a global agenda in the search for sustainability in various sectors of society. SDG 2.4, more specifically, deals with agriculture and food security, but does not have an established metric in its analysis. Without viable data to analyze the performance of countries in this context, it is not possible to understand the scenario in which it operates and decision-making, as well as public policies, lose precision. Therefore, this work aims to analyze the diversity of agricultural production in the municipalities of the state of São Paulo in the years 1999, 2009 and 2019, in order to verify whether there was specialization or diversification of agricultural production between these years. Therefore, this work proposes to establish a potential metric for SDG 2.4. To support the research, a literature review was carried out on the history of agriculture, going through the ages until the emergence of sustainable rural development as a model and agricultural diversification as a strategy. A systematic literature review on agricultural diversification was also carried out, building its state of the art as part of the results. There is great potential in agricultural diversification, since there are long-term benefits that go beyond a one-dimensional economic-financial analysis. Finally, the Simpson Diversity Index was applied to data extracted from Table 5457 of the Municipal Agricultural Survey of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (PAM/IBGE) and with the results, maps were built in the QGIS software. From the SID' results, maps were constructed using the QGIS software. It was identified that, between 1999 and 2009, there was a significant specialization of agricultural production. Between 2009 and 2019 there was also specialization, but not significant. From this, it is clear there is a general trend towards specialization and this distances the state of São Paulo from what is aimed at in SDG 2.4.en
